GKH Natural Hackamore

Designed to offer simple, direct communication, our GKH Natural Hackamore combines a rope halter with your choice of reins to create a versatile bitless setup for both riding and groundwork.

Working through pressure and release across the nose and poll, it provides clear signals without the use of a bit. As soon as rein pressure is softened, the pressure is released, encouraging consistent, uncomplicated communication.

Suitable for horses working bitless full-time or temporarily, the Natural Hackamore is a practical choice for everyday riding, groundwork, young horses during dental changes, or horses that are sensitive in the mouth.

Choose your rein option:

• Mecate Reins – The traditional choice for a natural hackamore, providing a complete rein and lead rope in one for added versatility. Our mecate reins are now made using 12mm rope, making them lighter, easier to handle and comfortable in the hand, while still offering the strength, durability and robustness needed for everyday use.

• Split Reins – A practical option for riders using English or non-Western saddle setups, finished with leather poppers for added balance and feel. These reins are also made using 12mm rope, offering a lighter, more manageable feel without compromising on strength and durability.

Please note: The halter is designed to allow the reins to be wrapped above the fiador knot and is not made to the same measurements around the noseband and gullet as our Professional Soft Rope Halters.

For the best fit, choose the same size you would normally use in a standard rope halter, headcollar, or bridle.
